Ted Lasso: A role model for life and leadership

One of my favourite television shows is Ted Lasso. The show is optimistic, clever and witty.

This joyous and humorous comedy is based around the character Ted Lasso, who has been employed as coach for a  failing English Premier League Football team of which he has no experience in coaching.

The whole point of the show is to showcase Ted's leadership style which is very empathetic and embodies team building. Ted is fully committed to putting the needs of the team members first as he works with players to help them deal with emotional struggles and conflicts to build a positive environment.

BELIEVE - A single word emblazoned on a yellow sign hung with duct tape over the coaches’ office—Believe—reminds everyone in the locker room of the power of belief: belief in oneself; belief in the team; belief in ideals and goals.

A powerful, positive show demonstrating excellent leadership and role modeling that could be applied to any organisation.
